Silverback Films is a world-leading producer of natural history films and part of the All3Media Group. Our exceptional team of wildlife filmmakers combine powerful storytelling with first-class cinematography to create the highest-quality series and features for television and cinema.

Formed in 2012 by Alastair Fothergill and Keith Scholey, Silverback has produced films and series that have been among the most successful ever created. These include Wild Isles (BBC), Our Planet and Our Planet II (Netflix), David Attenborough: A Life on Our Planet (Netflix), The Hunt (BBC), The Mating Game (BBC), seven Disneynature features (Disney+), and many more. We have relationships with the world’s leading narrators, including a unique 30-year relationship with Sir David Attenborough.

Our work has been recognised at the highest level and has won many acclaimed awards, including BAFTA, EMMY, Royal Television Society, Grierson, Jackson Hole and Wildscreen Panda awards.

In 2020, Silverback Films launched Studio Silverback, a new production arm focussing solely on films that tackle the world’s pressing environmental challenges.

We are advocates for nature; our passion is helping people to understand and celebrate the natural world. We have filmed in almost every environment on the planet - from the depths of the greatest oceans to the tops of the highest mountains, from the darkest caves to the sunlit canopy of the tallest forests, and from both the North and South Pole to the hottest, driest deserts.
